Abstract

In view of the close resemblance of chromanones to naturally occurring compounds such as flavanones, flavones, chromones and coumarins, and the common occurrence of basic side chains in therapeutically active compounds it was deemed worthwhile to incorporate basic groups into chromanones and study the action of such compounds on some lower organisms.
