Abstract
A simple one-step reaction inducing regioselective introduction of a double bond into an aliphatic molecular framework is a desirable synthetic tool. Selective dehydrogenation is an important reaction in organic chemistry as well as in biochemical processes, with chloranil and DDQ being the classic and useful stoichiometric dehydrogenation reagents in organic chemistry.
