Abstract

VI11 IX of radicals are more electrophilic than alkyl radical^^^^ and attack of a radical on saturated carbon rather than on a peripheral atom is rare, it is probable that radicals in general attack the thiirane at sulfur. Another unusual example of radical attack on sulfur in a perfluorinated monosulfide was encountered during copolymerizations of IV with tetrafluoroethylene.
