Abstract

The silanols (Me3Si) 3CSiMe2OH,(Me3Si) 2C (SiMePh2)(SiMe2OH), and (PhMe2Si) 3C (SiMe2OH) undergo rearrengement in MeONa-MeOH to give (Me3Si) 2CH (SiMe2OSiMe2),(Me3Si) 2CH (SiMe2OSiMePh2), and (PhMe2Si) 2CH (SiMe2OSiMe2Ph), respectively.
