Abstract
The heme-thiolate proteins comprise a large number of important enzymes such as cytochrome P450,['] NO-synthase, l2] and chloroperoxidase (CPO). r31 The inherent reactivity of these enzymes is attributed to an iron protoporphyrin IX complex located at the active center.
