Abstract

The constitution of γ-indomycinone (1) (Figure 1) was established by spectroscopic methods, but its absolute configuration remains unknown so far. Because it was isolated in only minute amounts, a chemical total synthesis was needed for the determination of the configuration of the stereogenic center as well as of its bioactivity. ...
