Abstract

Intermediates formed in the gas-phase reaction of nitrogen atoms with alkenes have been trapped in an inert matrix using a rotating cryostat; esr examination of the frozen samples has shown the presence of methyleneamino (CH2N·) and alkylideneamino (RCHN·) radicals.
