Abstract
The mechanism of aerobic oxidation of aromatic and alkyl aromatic compounds using anthracene and xanthene, respectively, as a model compound was investigated using a phosphovanadomolybdate polyoxometalate, H5PV2Mo10O40, as catalyst under mild, liquid- phase conditions.
