Abstract

Abstract New symmetrical helically chiral penta-and heptacyclic aromatic systems containing two thiophene rings have been prepared, in good yields, under mild conditions using a photochemical route. Optoelectronic properties of these helically aromatic thia- systems were determined and exhibit interesting behavior.
