Abstract

The new host 1, 4, 11, 14-tetramethoxy-dibenzo [b, n] tetraphenylene forms a 1: 1 inclusion compound with pyridine, in which a pair of centrosymmetrically-related guest species are enclosed in the cage surrounded by six host molecules.
