Abstract
To the best of our knowledge, no example of C-carbonylation of a ketone (eq 1, R= R'= alkyl) has been reported. Herein we wish to report a novel cobalt carbonyl catalyzed ring enlargement of cyclobutanones with a hydrosilane and carbon monoxide (vide infra, Scheme I).
