Abstract

Since complete identification of the products of Friedel-Crafts acetylation of acet-1-and acet- 2-naphthalide2v3 indicated that the acetyl group does not enter a position ortho to the acetylamino group, it was of interest to determine if the same generalization holds true for the diacetylaminonaphthalenes.
