Abstract
A method to prepare N-acyl enamides is reported that is complementary to the existing protocols. Heck reaction of a variety of aryl trifluoromethanesulfonates with commercially available N-vinylacetamide occurred in a highly regioselective fashion to provide these valuable synthetic intermediates.
