Abstract

8 a Reactions were conducted at room temperature. For workup the mixture was diluted with MeOH, decolorized with NaBH4, and partitioned between water and pentane. Further purification was not necessary for the first two entries. Reaction in toluene was cleaner than that in chloroform. 6 (CDClB) 4.88 (t, J= 6 Hz).
