Abstract
Abstract Convenient and efficient S-methylation of mercaptans or thiophenols occurs with dimethyl carbonate (DMC) in room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs)[Bmim] Cl.[Bmim] Cl can be recycled in four subsequent runs with only a gradual decrease in activity.
