Abstract

Abstract: A series of tetracarboxysilanes has been found to undergo a general reaction with various 1, 3-diketones to yield neutral hexacoordinated silicon chelate derivatives. An investigation of the chemical reactivity of bis (2, 4-pentanediono) diacetatosilicon (IV) showed that this compound undergoes unidentate and bidentate ligand exchange under suitable conditions while maintaining the octahedral structure. recent communication from ...
