Abstract

(Tetraphenyl-21, 23-dithiaprphyrin) iron (III) Triperchlorate. Porphyrin (32.4 mg, 5 X mol) was dissolved in 100 ml of dry, pure chloroform (Fluka). Fe (CIO& (3.54 g, low2 mol)(Non-Yellow, The G. Frederick Smith Chemical Co.) was dissolved in 4 ml of absolute ethanol, 1 ml of triethyl orthoformate was added, and the solution was stirred for 5 min.
