Abstract
The embryogenesis of a multicellular organism relies on the spatiotemporal control of the concentrations of signaling molecules and the way cells respond to them.[1] One of these, retinoic acid (RA), plays a key role in patterning the body axis and in the formation of many organs.[2] RA concentration is finely regulated both spatially and temporally and its alteration results in developmental defects.
