Abstract Some N-phenyl lipoamide and 8-mercapto-N-phenyloctanamide derivatives were synthesized and their in vitro antiproliferative activity was evaluated. The experimental results indicated that 8-mercapto-N-phenyloctanamides might be good histone deacetylase
