Abstract The reaction of trifluoromethyl radicals produced in a radio frequency discharge of hexafluoroethane with trimethylphosphine, tetramethyltin, dimethylmercury, tri- methylbismuth and tetramethyllead gave complexes with methyl and trifluoromethyl substituents.
