Abstract

In a previous paper'it was shown that acetylsulfanilyl chloride would not react with 4-(a- carbethoxyalkyl)-2-aminothiazoles nor in one instance with the free acid itself. However, the 4-alkyl substituted aminothiazole, obtained by the decarboxylation of these acids reacted readily with the chloride even though the side chain was seven carbons long.
