Abstract: We have prepared a number of m-and p-fluorophenyl-transition metal complexes and measured their 19F chemical shifts. These data, and chemical shift data from the literature for several fluorophenylplatinum compounds, were treated by the method of Taft, et al., to obtain the inductive and resonance parameters uI and uR0 for the metal substituent groups.
