Abstract

On reaction with a series of nucleophiles, the bridgehead sulfonium salt hexahydro-l, l- dimethyl-3N-2, 4, 7-ethanylylidene-1H-cyclopenta [c] thiopyrilium bromide (3) affords@- elimination products in a higher proportion than substitution products.
