Abstract

Indolizidine alkaloids 1 , bearing an azabicyclic ring skeleton, have been mainly isolated in small quantities from the skin extracts of neotropical frogs (Dendrobatidae, Mantellinae, Myobatrachidae, and Bufonidae) 2 and have displayed a wide range of biological properties, especially as non-competitive nicotinic inhibitors.
