Abstract

N* Y0P occurs smoothly under mild conditions (Staudinger reaction4). Cycloaddition of ozone to the phosphine imine would provide an unstable adduct, which we speculated could decompose to phosphine oxide and the desired nitro compound, although the mechanism by which such decomposition would occur may not be simple.
