Abstract
The sulfonyl group is a well-established activating moiety introduced in an intermediate molecule for the construction of CC bonds and other transformations. [¹] Recently, the use of sulfones has become a common synthetic methodology in many total syntheses and in the generation of database of functionalized compounds.
