Abstract

Abstract: A series of novel 2-(3-oxo-1, 3-diarylpropylthio) acetic acid derivatives (3añl) were prepared by base catalyzed addition of thioglycolic acid to chalcones (1añl). The antibacterial activities of synthesized compounds were screened against human pathogenic microorganisms by employing the disk-diffusion technique.
