Abstract

The following new reactions, all involving functional groups with a secondary phosphorus atom, have been observed.(1) Diarylphosphinous chlorides in the presence of a tertiary amine give tetraaryldiphosphine dioxides on exposure to oxygen and water.(2) Ethyl diphenylphosphinite reacts with diphenylphosphinic chloride to form diphenylphosphinic diphenylphosphinous anhydride.(3) The same anhydride is formed from reaction of ...
