Abstract
Abstract The first examples of selective additions of organosilicon radicals are reported. Trichlorosilyl radicals preferentially attack the carbonyl oxygen atom, while triethylsilyl radicals preferentially attack alkenes. Carbon-carbon bond formation to produce both monocyclic and bridged bicyclic systems is possible.
