Abstract

2, 3, 5-Tri-O-benzyl-D-arabinofuranosyl halides (chloride, bromide) were reacted with AllMgBr, MeMgBr, and VinMgBr to furnish anomeric mixtures of the C-glycosyl products. The factors that influenced the β/α ratio are discussed.
