Abstract

Abstract Cefcapene pivoxil monohydrochloride monohydrate, a broad spectrum third- generation cephalosporin for oral administration, was prepared by reacting three centers of 7β-amino-3-(hydroxymethyl) cephalosporinic acid (7-HACA), derived from 7β- aminocephalosporanic acid.
