Abstract
Different racemic or prochiral phenyl alkane (l, n)-diols were synthesized, and their resolution was carried out by two different strategies: enzymatic transesterification with vinyl acetate, or enzymatic hydrolysis of their corresponding diacetates, in both cases catalysed by porcine pancreatic lipase (PPL).
