$ EVWUDFW The synthesis is described of the hitherto unknown 2, 3-bis (2-thienyl) naphthalene. Photochemical cyclisation of affords naphtho [2, 3-J] thiopheno [3, 2-H] benzo [E] thiophene, the parent compound of a new aromatic heterocyclic series..
