Abstract Sum frequency generation (SFG) vibrational spectroscopy has been used to characterize the interfacial structure of a series of model peptides at the hydrophobic polystyrene-buffer interface. The peptides contain two types of amino acids, one hydrophobic (X) and one hydrophilic (Y).
