Abstract
Catalytic hydroboration of perfluoroalkylethylenes (RFCH CH2) with cationic and neutral rhodium complexes allows for selective access to either regioisomeric alcohol after hydroboration with catechol-and pinacolboranes, followed by oxidation with alkaline hydrogen peroxide.
