Abstract
Methods for the preparation of a novel family of anionic bis (phosphino) borate ligands are described. These protocols involve delivery of phosphine carbanions to borane electrophiles and where necessary employ phosphine protection/deprotection protocols. These methods provide access to numerous arylphosphine derivatives, in addition to sterically encumbered and highly electron-releasing alkyl-substituted phosphine anions. ...
