Abstract

We have recently reported 3 the development of chiral aminophenol proligands H 2 L 1 and H 2 L 2 as robust alternatives to the analogous Schiff-bases. 9 Reactions of these proligands with [Zr(NMe 2 ) 2 Cl 2 (THF) 2 ] in dichloromethane generated the colourless complexes [ZrL 1 Cl 2 ] and [ZrL 2 Cl 2 ]. The former was shown by X-ray crystallography to adopt the trans structure, which is unlikely to be of use in catalyses such as that under study here where ...
