Abstract

The chemistry of 2-aminopyridine is complicated by the presence in the molecule of two nitrogen atoms of similar reactivity, and it is frequently difficult to present unequivocal proof of structure of the reaction products of the base. In the present paper the structures of the pyrido [l, oa] pyrimidones derived from 2-aminopyridine will be considered.
