Abstract Mass spectral fragmentation patterns of dimethylsilyl (DMS) ethers of primary unbranched, branched, and secondary unbranched aliphatic alcohols in the C 5 to C 10 range are compared with those of the corresponding trimethylsilyl (TMS) derivatives.
