Abstract
Abstract Added lithium cation has no effect on the stereochemical outcome of the displacement of chloride or p-nitrophenoxide from phosphorus in acyclic and some cyclic molecules. In other cyclic systems the preponderant stereochemistry can be biased from inversion to retention of configuration.
