Abstract

This paper describes a convenient laboratory method for the preparation of fluoroalkyl-and 3- (fluoroalkoxy) propylpolysiloxanes. Fluoroalkylpolysiloxanes have been prepared previously by alternate routes. Holbrook'obtained small yields of lH, lH, 2H, 2H- perfluoroalkyldichlorosilanes by heating lH, lH, 2H-perfluoro-1-alkenes with dichlorosilane in an autoclave at 250".
