Abstract: The reaction of phenylselenenyl triflate with diazo compounds is described. Diazoalkanes, a-diazoketones and a-diazoesters gave the corresponding di (phenylselanyl) derivatives either at 0 C or at room temperature. a-Diazo-b-dicarbonyl compounds gave selectively di (phenylselanyl) derivatives at-78 C, while they gave a mixture of di (phenylselanyl)-and mono (phenylselanyl) derivatives either at 0 C or at room temperature ...
