View all references we report herein the use of ionic liquids and ionic liquids in conjunction with microwave heating as promoters and a recyclable system for the synthesis of iodoarenes using phenyl trimethyl ammonium dichloroiodate (PTMA ICl 2 ) (Scheme 1).
