Abstract

The conjugated enyne moiety is incorporated in a number of natural products.'Also, it can be readily converted in a stereospecific manner into the corresponding diene system2 Thus, it is not surprising that considerable effort has been expended in seeking stereoselective methods for syntheses of conjugated enyne~.~
