Abstract

Using the first two catalysts, the reaction proceeds with heating at 80-I00~ and a hydrogen pressure of 100-120 atm, but with the ruthenium catalyst it occurs at ambient temperature. The yields of the required products using the ruthenium catalyst were 20-25% greater than when the nickel catalysts were used.
