Abstract

The synthesis, structure, and thiol peroxidase-like antioxidant activities of several diaryl diselenides having intramolecularly coordinating amino groups are described. The diselenides derived from enantiomerically pure R-(+)-and S-(-)-N, N-dimethyl (1- ferrocenylethyl) amine show excellent peroxidase activity.
