Abstract
A novel method is presented for the one-pot synthesis of substituted 3-(2-hydroxyethyl)-and 3-(3-hydroxypropyl) indoles (tryptophols and homotryptophols) from aryl hydrazines and silyl- protected ω-(hydroxyoalkyl) alkynes.
