Abstract

Some time ago a study was made in this Laboratory of two series of~ nercaptans.~ It seemed desirable to secure accurate comparable data on the a, w-dimercaptans. Ethylene mercaptan is the only one of this class that is at all well known; several of the higher ones have been prepared,*~ j but the information about them is scanty.
