Abstract
One advent in gold catalysis is to generate α-oxo gold carbenes [1] by an intermolecular oxidation of terminal alkynes by using pyridine-based oxide derivatives [2, 3] with 8- alkylquinoline oxide (Z+ÀOÀ) being the most effective.[3] Besides easy and safe operation, gold carbenes generated in this method might exhibit chemoselectivity [3e, i] distinct from other metal carbenes produced from hazardous α-diazo carbonyl reagents.[4] Importantly, ...
