Abstract

Thanks to improvements in the apparatus and in the method of measurement we are now in a position to determine heats of combustion of organic substances with an accuracy which greatly surpasses that obtainable only a few years ago; we are of the opinion that, if for some reason or other it should be desired. an accuracy of about 0.1 per thousand should be attainable, of course provided that the properties of the substance under investigation are ...
